Overview

VA-01 Viral Blue Wave does not create user accounts on our servers. Photos, videos, and exported clips are processed on your device. The only app-related data we retain is stored locally in your browser (and, if you use Facebook sign-in, a Facebook access token on your device). This page explains how to delete that data.

What may be stored on your device

If you use Facebook sign-in, we store a Facebook access token in your browser so you can import your profile picture. We may also store temporary OAuth state, a cached copy of your last exported video, or a pending Facebook share in your browser's IndexedDB. None of this is uploaded to our hosting provider.

Delete everything with one click

Use the button below to remove Facebook tokens, OAuth state, and cached exports from this browser on this device. Your in-progress editor content (photos and text not yet exported) is kept in page memory only and is cleared when you close the tab.

Delete data manually in your browser

  1. Open this site in the browser where you used the app.
  2. Open your browser settings and find site data, cookies, or storage for va-01.viralbluewave.com (or va01-blue-wave.vercel.app if you used that URL).
  3. Choose Clear data, Delete site data, or Remove all data for this site.
  4. Reload the page. Facebook sign-in and any cached exports on this device will be gone.

Revoke Facebook access

Clearing site data removes the token stored by this app. To revoke the app's permission inside Facebook, go to Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, select VA-01 Viral Blue Wave, and choose Remove. You can also visit Meta's Apps and Websites settings at facebook.com/settings?tab=applications.

Request deletion by email

Because we do not store your media or Facebook tokens on our servers, there is usually nothing for us to delete on our side. If you signed in with Facebook and want confirmation that no server-side copy exists, email info@va01democrats.org with the subject "Data deletion request" and the email address linked to your Facebook account. We will respond within 30 days.
